High on the sacred mountain.....
There was magic in the air

The clouds surrounded the summit
The wind blew strong and cold

Somewhere in my instincts
The primitive took hold.

I stood there like a mystic
Lost in the atmosphere
I looked upon a presence
Spanning forty centuries.

I thought of time and distance
The hardships of history
I heard the hope and the hunger
When China sang to me...

-Scott- [link] left a song he knows on my last pic of the great wall,….I love the words !!!!

I know now that life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,
....but by the moments that take our breath away !
being at this majestic site......this moment was one of them !
:floating:
I'm posting this color pic at the request of many that wanted to see the wall in full color.

I'm very grateful for your comments and feedback,....have a nice weekend everybody

Yet again, this is fantastic - the little dude in the red jacket works brilliantly to give the structure a sense of scale...even though everyone knows it's blindingly huge :)
