The great palace complex at the heart of Beijing, also known as the 'Forbiden City'.
Built from 1406 to 1420 by 200,000 workers,
the buildings were aligned on north to south lines,
with the most important buildings oriented towards the sun,
....belived to be an expression of the cosmic order.

i like the feeling this photo gives me : ) calm and silent like early in the morning. the diffuse glow and the sepia tone adds a lot to the photo.. def. a fav : )
btw have you been to the great wall of china? lol i have yet to visit beijing eventho im a chinese myself :P
