Tuojiang River by `foureyes Suggester writes: "It is a fascinating image. A rare one that captures you already as a thumb. When you full view it you are amazed by the surreal background: the golden tones of the sky, the river bank fading into the distance in the magic mist, the strong feeling of ancient power that emanates from the building on the right. And in this fantastic setting is a working lady, tired and panting on the fragile bridge, so real, maybe trying not to be drawn in by the magic surrounding her, focusing on speeding through. Her beautifully clear, twisting reflection already captured by the river. The composition underlines the feeling that the woman is passing through a magic world, the colours and soft focus are perfect for the impression of a shifting reality. I could stare at this photo for hours, imagining where the lady is coming from and where she's going, her efforts not to be sucked in the alternate world, and the life of this magic world, where no one else is in sight and the balconies are decorated by red lanterns."

Description

While traveling in China with :iconteemoh: we saw a poster that read: 'this ancient town has been waiting for you 1000 years'........the phrase captivated us, so we went there :sprint:
it was the ancient town of 'Fenghuang' by the Tuojiang river,
in China's Hunan province 凤凰古城,沱江......a place of uncommon beauty.

I'm very happy to share good news :squee:
I'm one seven FIRST PRIZE Winning Photographers that will travel to Thailand this month with Nat Geo Travel/ documentary Photographer Alison Wright visiting Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket
