Global WarmingA deviation from someone I watch led me to think about the subject. It is real and not the legacy we want to leave behind to our children. The deviation was :iconyuumei:

Ever since the 2012 election, there has been an ongoing discussion about how the republican party can regain it's influence. Many ideas have been put forward, basically from two camps. The moderate republicans say they need to find a way to appeal to the general population more, basically becoming more "center-right" and then there is the bat-crap crazy, ultra-conservative wing (sometimes called the TEA Party) which firmly believes becoming even more intransigent, more unintelligent, and basically, far more bat-crap crazy, is the way to win elections... how my cat saved my lifeIn a small flat these days, with Juhani's early schedule, and my late one - Moosie often has to slot inbetween them, and not always with the best of success. (5am meowing when I didn't get done with work until after 9pm, and dinner until after 10pm, and J having to be up at 6am - is not funny.)

Time for an update!Well gang, I guess its about time to update and do another feature for someone who contributed points to my donation pool.
Not really a whole lot to talk about this time around... I do want to mention that I feel very thankful for all the recent support, attention, and especially all the people who have featured me lately... seems as if I am getting a lot more features recently, not sure why.
Of course, it would be nice to get the real top prize of featuring... a DD, but I've been on dA for more than 7 years, have at least 700 deviations and never got a DD, so I guess no matter how much people feature me and compliment my work, that still doesn't mean I'm good enough to get a DD... not sure what I would need to improve to get one... or perhaps I simply never will... oh well, probably better anyway, I'm too swamped with messages as it is, I can just imagine what a mess I would have to deal with if I got a DD.
So I guess its like the old saying "be careful what you wish for, you just mig

The Calgary StampedeThe Calgary Stampede is nothing more than profiting off of being cruel to animals. If a person were do anthing in that rodeo to a cat or dog, that person would be charged with animal abuse. The fact is cows and horse are animals with souls and emotions just like our pets, why should they be ignored in the sake of money. Don't support the cruelity, don't support the Stampede.

A Bit Of MeRecently a good friend informed me quite bluntly that I was allowing life to pass me by. That I needed to start taking chances. And he is so right! I do need to do that. I need to decide what I want and fight for it. Take those chances. I don't want much beyond a bit of happiness and contentment. I need to work harder to get where I need to be, sooner rather than later.
All of that means that I need to take more jobs on, which in turn means that I won't be around here much.
My apologies to everyone on my watch list. I will most likely be missing out on some incredible art. Hopefully this won't be for too awfully long, but it will take some time for me to achieve my goals.
I want to say thanks and I love you guys. You have all been very supportive of me.
I'll be around as dA is my supplier and you guys are my drug of choice. I'll go into withdrawl if I don't get my fix. I just won't be very active.
